Chris Ladd

P.E./I.T.

Originally from Massachusetts, Chris moved west to attend the Metropolitan State University of Denver, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Land Use with a concentration in geology—drawn by a desire to make the Rocky Mountains his playground as well as his classroom.

His path has always been guided by a passion for working with children. From volunteering as a track coach in high school, to serving as a team member with AmeriCorps NCCC, to leading trail projects with Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado, Chris has consistently found purpose in youth-focused service and education. He also spent meaningful time as a stay-at-home father, gaining deep, firsthand experience in child development.

Before stepping into his current role at Fort Collins Montessori School as both the Physical Education and Purposeful Movement Lead and IT Administrator, Chris worked as the school’s Special Education Assistant and spent the past two summers as a camp counselor—further expanding his hands-on expertise in education, movement, and student engagement.

He brings a unique blend of technical skills, outdoor leadership, and a child-centered philosophy to his work, always aiming to foster joy, growth, and resilience in every student he meets.
