Making a Difference—Together

Fort Collins Montessori School (FCMS) has continued to make a difference in the lives of your children during several challenging transitions, including moving into a new campus and continuing to provide exceptional education through a global pandemic. Thanks to the support of FCMS families and friends, we reached our 2021 Big Give fundraising goal of $40,000. To our founders, families, guides and staff, friends, alumni, board members, and supporters past and present—thank you all!

Here are just a few of the few ways we have made a difference—together:

● Completed the Phase I build-out of our beautiful building and campus.

● Installed a beautiful playground the children enjoy daily.

● Discounted tuition for pre-school families during the pandemic.

● Retained staff and offered competitive salaries to all our guides and staff during the challenging 2020/21 school year.

● Distributed Chromebooks to children enrolled in online learning so they could access class meetings and complete online lessons.

The Big Give 2022

The Big Give is the FCMS annual fundraiser. This year, The Big Give is supporting two initiatives critical for our growing school: the Phase II build-out that will complete our campus and the training of new guides.

Completion of our Campus: With the full buildout, FCMS will be able to offer exceptional Montessori education to 100 additional children, replace the temporary trailers, and build a multipurpose space that will serve as a meeting space and/or a gymnasium.

Guide Training Program: As enrollment and our campus grows, we need a pipeline of certified educators that are passionate about the Montessori method. FCMS has identified two members of our school community that will be beginning a 3-year journey to become Association Montessori International (AMI) certified guides, supporting your children for years to come.

The Big Goal

100% FCMS family participation & $44,000 will allow FCMS to complete our campus & ensure staff support for our growing school community.

The Value of FCMS

As a public charter school, FCMS receives zero dollars for student support, transportation, staff training, and infrastructure. While some private Montessori schools charge upwards of $13,000 a year, FCMS continues to offer tuition-free Montessori K-6th grade education. FCMS’s status as a public charter, combined with a completed campus and robust staff of Montessori-trained guides will allow us to maximize enrollment and fully realize the vision our founders established of creating an atmosphere in which children are intrinsically motivated, enthusiastic, responsible, and will become committed life-long learners.

Giving is Easy!

With a suggested donation of $200 per student, you can help us easily reach our goal of $44,000. Our goal of 100% family participation also means that your contribution, no matter the size, directly helps achieve our goals by demonstrating strong support for our school community to financers and prospective staff and guides. The last day to give is May 20, 2022.
