Winter Weather and School Closure Information at FCMS

Now that winter really is approaching, we want to make sure everyone knows our school closing procedures.

FCMS will follow the lead of PSD regarding school closings and early release days for inclement weather. Poudre School District has an extensive network of people who help the superintendent determine if the roads will be safe for transportation to and from school. The decision to close FCMS due to inclement weather will follow the lead of PSD. PSD makes their decision on whether to close school by 5:30 in the morning. That decision will be posted on the Poudre School District website, https://www.psdschools.org/ , and will be on the news and radio stations as well.

Please checks the PSD website during winter weather events to know whether FCMS is closed or not.

Additionally, please send warm winter clothing (hats, gloves, mittens, coats) with your children, each day now, so that they can enjoy their daily breaks outside. Winter is a wonderful time of year, and we want to get our students outside! Please help them be warm and prepared.
