Fundraising Committee

Vision

Build a thriving school that is a pillar of our community.

Mission

To drive growth and expansion for Fort Collins Montessori School. Led by a team of volunteers, this group’s task is to raise funds for the school.

Why FCMS Needs Fundraising

As a charter school authorized by Poudre School District (PSD), Fort Collins Montessori School receives approximately $7,000 per student, which is used for teacher and administrative salaries, rent and materials. FCMS receives minimal funding from PSD for additional expenses such as facilities growth, teacher training and low-income tuition support.

How You Can Help

YOU are integral to the success of this school! Through volunteering, participating in fundraising activities, and direct donations to FCMS, YOU are building a working community of people who care both within and outside of the school. YOU create our Spirit of Giving. This Spirit of Giving is important in the Montessori curriculum, and now it is your opportunity to model it.

Ways to get started:

  1. Budget a recurring donation to Fort Collins Montessori School. Functioning similarly to private Montessori schools, FCMS currently operates on a much smaller budget. In order to provide for the growth and future of our school, FCMS needs financial gifts to reach its goals.
  2. Participate in Fort Collins Montessori School fundraisers as your family is able. You do not have to participate in every fundraiser, but participation is a clear sign that you are behind the school’s mission. Our goal is to have 100% of FCMS families participate in at least one fundraiser annually.
  3. Volunteer with the school by attending board meetings, joining a committee, or helping in your child’s classroom. There are many ways to contribute to the FCMS community.
